Jane Walter

Jane Walter, 99, Dalton died Saturday morning at Abington Manor in South Abington Twp.  She was the widow of John A. Walter who died in November of 2002.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth MacMath Richardson.  She lived for her family, loved to read, and was deeply rooted in her faith.

Surviving are sons, Dave Walter and his wife Virginia, Dalton and Alan Walter, Dickson City; a daughter, Barbara Klipple and her husband Dale, Ransom Twp.; seven grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Helen Richardson, Newton Township.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Richardson and two sisters, Grace Leonhart and Carolyn LaCoe.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1pm in the Abington Hills Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home.
