Janet Hricenak

Janet Hricenak, 87, of Ransom Township died at her home on Sunday. She was the widow of William Hricenak, who died in 2003. The couple had been married 50 years.

Born in Ransom, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Grace Schaffer Richter. She was a graduate of Newton-Ransom High School and, prior to retirement, worked as a house mother at St. Michael's School for Boys.

Janet enjoyed her monthly card games with the girls from grade school along with playing "poker".

Surviving are four sons, Dennis, Scranton, William and Richard, Ransom Township; and Steven, Lexington KY; a daughter, Robin Killino, Ransom Township; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Rick, Chuck, David and sisters Arlene and Marjorie.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
