Janette Barber, 63, of Tunkhannock passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born on January 2, 1960 in Meshoppen, she is the daughter of the late Harry and Jessie Shiffer Barber.
Throughout her lifetime, Janette found joy in various activities and hobbies. One of her passions was candle making, as she reveled in the creative process of producing beautiful and aromatic candles that brought warmth to countless homes. Her skillful hands crafted pieces that not only added beauty to spaces but also ignited a sense of tranquility.
In harmony with her love for nature, Janette spent ample time outdoors feeding wildlife. Whether it was strolling through parks or tending to her backyard garden, she found solace and contentment in being surrounded by the wonders of the natural world. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to those around her but also to our furry friends who found comfort in her presence.
Another fascination that captivated Janette was the challenge of completing puzzles. She would diligently work on intricate jigsaw puzzles, relishing every twist and turn as she gradually pieced together vibrant landscapes or captivating images. Through this endeavor, she showcased her patience and determination - qualities that shaped her character and left an indelible mark on others.
Janette also relished spending time with loved ones, particularly engaging in games of cards with her cherished aunt and uncles. These joyful gatherings brought laughter and camaraderie that will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege to join in the merriment.
She is survived by brothers; Harry Barber, Robert Barber and wife Cathy, David Barber, Terry Barber and Tom; sister, Donna Sherwood; uncle, Glen Shiffer; aunt, Doris Solanick; 13 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, James Barber.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service which will be held on Thursday August 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM from Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
