Jean M. Finch

Jean M. Finch, 74, Newton Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Harlan. They were happily married for 43 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith Foley Lupinski. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Abington Heights School District.

Jean was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She also was an avid reader and a great cook. We will never be able to duplicate her famous ricotta cookie recipe. She always put everyone before herself and is greatly loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are three daughters, Jennifer Harrison Maro and husband, Thomas, Old Forge; Hillary Finch, Scranton; and Vanessa Sabo and husband, Nicholas, Clarks Summit; her sister, Ruth Rowlands, Scranton; grandchildren, Brian Thomas and husband, Chris; Dylan Harrison, Karina, Cael and Elijah Sabo.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Elizabeth Foley; and son-in-law, Dave Harrison.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Services entrusted to Lawrence E Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
