Jean M. Richter, 87, of Exeter, previously of Clarks Summit, peacefully began her next journey on February 19, 2024 surrounded by her children.
Born in Taylor, Jean was the daughter of the late George and Mary Fayocavitz Marshalek. Jean was a graduate of Newton Ransom High School Class of 1955 and was raised as a member of St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral and later a member of Countryside Community Church, then United Methodist Church Broad Street in Pittston.
Jean is survived by her daughters Cindy (David) Leuthe, Lynn Yonushka; sons David (Shirley) Richter, Joseph (Ray Owlett) Richter, and Jeffrey (Danielle) Richter; grandchildren David (Nicole) Leuthe, Steven Leuthe, Kristopher (Alana) Yonushka, James Reese, Rebbecca (Matt) Blaisure), Avery and Holden Richter; great grandsons Lucas Benscoter, Nando and Mario Yonushka , Roan Reese, David Leuthe; great granddaughters Abigail and Amelia Blaisure; a companion of 17 years Peter Lizonitz; and a grand dog Mowgli Owlett Richter.
Jean was preceded in death by seven sisters, Ethel Zukowski, Helen Maciak, Stella Hricenak, Mary Rognoni, Josephine Scaringi, Rita Strok, and Eleanor Schultheis; two brothers Daniel and George Jr.; a son Kevin Richter; and a daughter in law Annie Galli.
We are sure she received the most spectacular greeting and they are all arguing with love.
The entire family would like to thank the staff at Highland Manor in Exeter, with a heartfelt thank you to Joanie, Mel, Roberto, Terri and Lori, for treating Our Mom like family, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and Allied Services Rehabilitation.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 23 at 7:00 pm. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St Clarks Summit with services by William ( Bill) Bachman - CLS.
Friends may call from 5:00 pm until the time of service.
