Jennie Bartron

Jennie Jenkins Bartron, 93, of Tunkhannock passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Born in Washington Twp. on July 3, 1920, she was the second of ten children born to the late George and Stella Winnie Jenkins. Jennie, with her husband, Stark, founded Bartron Supply in 1948. She was a member of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, Tunkhannock Women’s Club and Tyler Hospital Auxiliary. Her greatest joy in life was to spend time with her family. She will always be remembered for her stories and recollections. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Stark Bartron in 1990, two sisters, Margaret Claypoole and Kate Monsey and two brothers, James (Jim) Jenkins and Ken (Mick) Jenkins. Jennie is survived by her children: Janice Gay, Henderson, NV, Judy Bartron, Tunkhannock, and J. Stark and wife Jane Bartron II, Tunkhannock. Grandchildren, Rick and Debbie Gay, Tunkhannock, Bryan and Lynda Gay, Las Vegas, Daniel Gay, Tunkhannock, Lisa Edwards, Baltimore, Bekah and Ron Frisco, Falls, J. Stark Bartron III, Tunkhannock, and Josh and Amy Bartron, Tunkhannock., Sisters, Hazel (Jeff) Martinson and Betty Monsey, Brothers, Earl (Bud) and Jo Jenkins, Jack and Cathy Jenkins, Jerry and Carol Jenkins, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Peter Geschwindner officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
