Jennie Lou Killian, 82, of Tunkhannock passed away on December 2, 2021 at the Abington Manor, Clarks Summit. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Frederick R. Killian on May 17, 2021. They will celebrate their 62-wedding anniversary in heaven on December 14.
Born in Noma, Florida on November 8, 1939 she was the daughter of Ethel Hayes.
Jennie was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was born and raised in the Gulf Coast of Florida, and never forgot her southern heritage.
She loved to garden and had a special touch for crepe myrtles which could be seen in her yard in Florida. Jennie was a great seamstress and often her co-workers would benefit from this in a homemade gift.
She loved to read and spend the northeast winters indulged in a romance, western, or mystery. She will truly be missed by friends and family.
Jennie is survived by, sons, Robert and wife Melanie, Bradley and wife Karen; grandchildren, Mark and wife Sarah Killian, Miranda and husband Kyle Kelley; great grandchildren, Conley, Meara, Maille Killian.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Martha Mincey and Joyce Trosi.
The family would like to extend deep appreciation to the Abington Manor for all of their care and compassion they provided to their mom, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Family and friends are invited to attend Jennies’ memorial service which will be held on Saturday December 11 at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
A visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of service on Saturday.
