Joan Frantz

Joan M. Frantz "Lady" or "AJ", 83, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton.

Born on March 15, 1941 in Vernon, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (duBois) Frantz.

She was a 1959 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. Joan's life centered around her career and her family. She was employed as a bookkeeper and office manager for several companies, including GLF, Louden Hill Farms, and Ritztex Mfg.

Joan was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, and loved animals, especially dogs and horses.

She is survived by brother, Cliff Frantz of Florida; sister, Kathy Sands of Tunkhannock; 14 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Faux of Vernon, Edward "Bud" Frantz, James Frantz both of Tunkhannock; an infant sister; her beloved dogs.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her nieces, Elizabeth Carey, Rachel Boice, Millie Frantz, Barbara Faux for the love they have shown her over the years and to the nurses from the Traditional Hospice Care, Brianna and Sarah, who became part of the family.

At her request, there will be no viewing or funeral services. The family will hold a memorial service at a future date. Interment will be held in Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Centermoreland.
