Joan Anne Geller Vincent of Ransom Township PA passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 5th surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, who passed away in 2020.

Born on May 18, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, Joan graduated from West Catholic Girls High School. She was employed as an executive assistant and courier in the Missile and Space Division at General Electric Company, Philadelphia, PA. She was proficient in both stenography and shorthand.

She then met her future husband, Joseph, and purchased land and built a home together in Paoli, PA on Philadelphia's Main Line. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2018.

Joan had many interests, including a love of poetry which she enjoyed reading, as well as composing her own. A lover of horticulture, Joan served on the board of the Paoli Garden Club. She spent long hours in the garden planting flowers. She took pride in her rose garden and gardenias.

Joan loved to travel, both near and far. Her favorite parts of the country were Arizona and Southern California. She loved the theatre and the arts and could always be found at an art museum wherever she traveled. She was an avid collector of postcards. Joan loved classical, jazz and latin music.

She adored her grandchildren and took great pride in all of their accomplishments. A long-time parishioner at Our Lady of the Snows, Clarks Summit, PA, Joan had a deep Catholic faith.

The Philadelphia Phillies were her favorite sports team. She would watch the games with intensity, often wearing her Bryce Harper jersey.

After relocating to Northeastern PA, Joan continued her love of gardening. She volunteered at the Everhart Museum and the Lackawanna Association for the Blind as a radio reader.

She attended Thomas Edison State College (now University) through the CLEP program and accumulated many credits in the humanities, arts, and literature.

Joan is survived by daughters Carla Vincent and Jane D'Alessandro; grandchildren Ava, Vincent, and Evan; brothers Albert, Edward, Jim, Joseph, and George; a sister Nancy; and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful private caregivers as well as Traditional Home Hospice for their dedicated, compassionate, and excellent care.
