John Paul Adcroft, 65, of Dalton, passed away on February 11, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lisa Domnick Adcroft.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late John "Jack" and Clara Winebrake Adcroft.
John was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, hiking in the woods, gardening, and taking care of his property. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a gifted craftsman, creating unique works of art, many of which are proudly displayed in his home. More than anything, John cherished his family.
In 1997, he joined the local Bricklayers Union #5. After working in the masonry field for more than 40 years, John was recently, and all too briefly, enjoying his well-earned retirement.
John is also survived by his son, Jake (fiancé Liza), daughter Ivy, sisters Virginia (husband Bob), and Jane, brother Peter (wife Amy), and several nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by all.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, February 18th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital For Children or Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
