John Andrew Ciccone

John Andrew Ciccone, 56, of Covington Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, due to a car accident.

John was born June 18, 1966 in Scranton to his father Angelo Ciccone, and his mother Barbara Conforti. John would spend much of his working life on the road as a courier within the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre metropolitan area, which allowed his friendly spirit to connect with many different people. John had also owned a pizza shop and proudly served the best pizzas ever made in the NEPA area. John was a gregarious man who could not help but make those around him smile and laugh. If you met John, you were probably called Junior, even if you weren't a Junior. He was a hard-working individual and always offered full support to those around him. Above all else, John was a family man and would find the most joy in spending time with his wife and four children.

He is survived by his wife Mary Claire and his children Tonya, Johnny, Gino, and Mia Ciccone; his mother Barbara Ciccone Nolan; his sisters Angela and Lisa; his brothers Mike and Jimmy; his favorite nephew Billy Ciccone; his best friend, Joe Delfino from Dunmore, who was like a brother to him; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Angelo; his brother Ronald; and his sister Michele.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Karen Rickaby. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to the time of the service.
