Joseph Colacicco

Joseph A. Colacicco (58), Mehoopany, PA (and formally Lake Carey, PA), lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday night, December 9, 2014. Born on November 18, 1956 in Scranton, PA he was a son of Mary Costanzi Colacicco and the late Angelo Colacicco. Joe retired from Proctor & Gamble to pursue his love of hunting and fishing. The family would like to thank all the staff of Golden Living, ESPECIALLY the staff of the Green wing, for the wonderful care they gave Joe these last several months; and to the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart for your help this past month – Bless you all!! He is predeceased by his father, Angelo Colacicco; sister, Alice Colacicco; grandmother, Della Costanzi; and niece, Kathy Castillo. In addition to his mother, Mary Costanzi Colacicco, he is survived by sisters; Marie (Mike) Douches, Vestal, NY; Diane Castillo, Lawai, Kauai, Hawaii. Very special nieces and nephews: Michele (Jeff) Gorman and sons, Jeremy and Logan, Conklin, NY; Jennifer (Bob) Barton and daughter, Angelina, Windsor, NY; Mark (Amanda) Dowches and daughter Morgan, Owego, NY; Christine Castillo and daughter, Tianne, Lawai, Hawaii. Step daughters, Brandy and Serena Lyman, Mehoopany, PA; and step grandchildren, Noah, Lola, Leigha, Elijah, and Riley. Per Joe’s request, there will be no funeral, but , a “Celebration of Life” that will be held on, Saturday, January 10, 2015, from 12:30 to 4:00, at The Warren Hotel, 46 Warren Street, Tunkhannock, PA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joe’s name to: Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, or to another charity of your choice.
