Judith "Judy" Macknosky Boettcher, South Abington Township, died on Monday at her home.  She was the widow of Robert "Bob" E. Boettcher Sr., who passed in 2007.

Born October 29, 1940 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Tessie Macknosky.  She started her life in Throop, then worked in sales for Solid Gold FM and later became active in politics with the Republican party.  Judy enjoyed reading, photography, poetry, and writing lyrics for music.

Surviving are four sons, Stephen & wife Tami, Montdale, Carl and partner Cindy, Moosic, Mark and wife Christina, S. Abington Twp., and Edward and wife Bridget, Mayfield; grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Kyle, Hannah, and Emma as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Robert Jr.; four sisters, Margaret Pavloski, Helen Bartholomew, Dorothy Toth, and Mary Litman; and three brothers, Bobby Macknosky, Thomas Macknosky, and Paul Macknosky Sr.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 10 am from the Church of Saint Gregory, 330 North Abington Rd., Clarks Summit.  Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst at a later date.  Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter or St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen in Scranton.
