June Scott, 96, of Milwaukee, PA, died Sunday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the widow of Gerald A. Scott. The couple had been married 59 years before his death in 2008.

Born August 5, 1926 in Ransom Township, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Theresa Rosencrans Bedell. She was a homemaker and also worked as an aide at the former Ransom Home. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Newton-Ransom Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are four daughters, Diane Siniawa, Ginger Henningsen, Robin Ross and her husband, Donald, and Kelly Cardone, and her husband, William; one son, Gerald Scott, Jr. and companion JoAnn Carr; nine grandchildren, Paul Thomas, Amy Niewiski, Heidi Keller, Heather Oakie, Wendy Davis, Vanessa Walters, Cassandra Rupert, William Cardone and Aden Cardone; fourteen great grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter, Erin, Kyle, Collin, Trever, Tess, Eli, Aaliyah, Tyler, Eva, Abby, Josephine, Noah, Emma, and Hannah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky; brothers Gene Bedell and Kenneth Bedell; and sister Connie Degilio.

A funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. James Hollister.  Interment will follow in Milwaukee Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Drive, Clarks Summit.
