Kathleen Ann Hoffman

Kathleen Ann Hoffman, 59, of Falls, passed away at home on Monday after a long illness.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Shirley E. Phillips Coggins. She was a 1982 graduate of Abington Heights High School and, prior to her illness, worked as a housekeeper and caregiver.

A mother's love surpasses time and space, even in heaven her warmth is felt. Kathy had a mother's heart, with an open door to anyone who needed a friend. She was a dedicated mother and absolutely adored her grandchildren.  "Mom" and "Nanny" were the titles she carried around with pride! She was hard working, loving, and kind. She had a laugh that lit up the room with a smile to match. Kathy enjoyed going to the beach, listening to music, writing poetry, and helping anyone who needed her hand. Family and friends are what were most important to her, and anyone who was blessed enough to have known Kathy knows, wherever she was "felt like home.

Surviving are her son, Dylan Reedy and his wife Kelly of Kingston; daughters Jennifer Bartrige and her husband John of Springbrook Township and her devoted caregiver Sheri Polak and Steve of Falls Twp.; grandchildren Cassandra and Christopher Polak, Sophia and Korbyn Bartrige, and Liam Reedy; sisters Allison Mariani and Linda Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters Deborah Wilbur, Karen Pasternak, Joyce Malinauskas, and Patricia Kipp.

Friends may pay their respects from 2 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, March 10th at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. A Mass will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
