Kenneth Frank Richards

Kenneth Frank Richards, 86, Dalton, passed away peacefully Monday morning at the home of his daughter and caregiver, Lisa.

Born in Newton Township, he was the son of the late Frank and Francis Hunt Richards. Ken served his country in the National Guard for 6 years and spent much of his adult life traveling the road before retiring as an owner and operator for Penns Best in Meshoppen, PA. His greatest joy was being Papa and he spent his last few years playing with his best buddies, Addison, Lainey, Jackson, and Callie. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Donna, for 64 joyous years and we seek comfort in their eternal reunion.

He is survived by a son, J. Michael Richards (Alice), New Jersey; daughters, Susan Davis (Mark), Virginia, and Lisa Landsiedel (Roy), Dalton; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a brother Roger Richards (Cathy); sisters Sharon Edwards, Dorothy Edwards, Ginger Thomas, Marilyn Mirabelli (John), Carolyn Landsiedel, Joyce LaRue; and his faithful companion, Cocoa.

He is preceded in death by his wife Donna; daughter Jacqueline S. Richards; brothers Jim Richards and Chet Morris; and sisters Lucy Edwards and Jeane Beatress.

The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Newton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lake Winola Fire Department, PO Box 73, Lake Winola, PA 18625 or the PA 4-H Horse Program Endowment Fund. Checks should be payable to 'The Pennsylvania State University' and have 'PA 4-H Horse Program Endowment' on memo.
