Kevin J. Holehan 63, of Tunkhannock died December 30th after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 33 Years Marian Turner Holehan.
He was born in New York Mills, New York on February 6, 1952 son of the late Donald and Helen Ryczek Holehan.
He graduated from Notre Dame High School class of 1970; He earned two bachelor’s degrees one in Sociology and one in Spanish from Kings College.
He has been in the helping profession of social services ever since he graduated from college. First volunteering to help people overcome chemical addiction at a nonprofit rehab center MALABAR. He ultimately became a long time employee for nonprofit organization Commission on Economic Opportunity in Wilkes Barre. He earned the job of division director of the Wyoming County office of the organization, where he and his coworkers provided services to people in need of housing, food, energy assistance and other basic needs.
He is survived by his daughter Caitlin, of Tunkhannock. Kevin was a man of simple taste he preferred no formal service, instead would enjoy family and friends to reminisce with fond memories of shared times together.
