Larry Dean Vangasbeck, 63, of Lake Winola passed away on Monday September 19, 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Susan (Keen) Vangasbeck.

Born in Newport, RI on September 20, 1958, he is the son of the late Ronald Gershon Vangasbeck and survived by his mother, Betty Louise (Arnold) Vangasbeck.

Larry was a 1976 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. He joined the Navy after high school where he received training as an electrician. He later retired from Procter and Gamble as an electrician in 2020.

He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, playing pool, and flying private planes. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by, son Shawn Vangasbeck and wife Erin; grandchildren, Dylan and Courtney Vangasbeck; sisters, Peggy Leonhart and Beth Vangasbeck; nieces, Jennifer Lelinski, Wendy and Amanda Leonhart; nephew, Aaron Case; great nieces, Addison Lelinski and Raegan Case; great nephews, Steven Lelinski and Logan Case.

Family and friends are invited to attend Larry's celebration of life service with full military honors which will be held on Saturday October 1, 2022, at 5:00 PM from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, 326 Maple Dr, Dalton, PA 18414 with Pastor Robin Fillmore presiding.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service.

Arrangements and care entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lake Winola Fire Company, 1204 PA-307, Factoryville, PA 18419 or to the donor's choice.
