Laura Toro, Ransom Township, died Saturday morning at Allied in Scranton.  She is survived by Peter Toro, her husband of over 66 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Janet Klush Winters. Laura was a member of the former Country Alliance Church and, later in life, she worked for Gertrude Hawk and the bookstore at Keystone College.

Surviving are a daughter, Carol Jean Olecki, Taylor; two sons, Tim Toro, Clarks Summit and Richard Toro, Wilmington DE; a sister, Joyce Degilio, Ransom Twp.; two brothers, Ralph Winters, Old Forge, and Howard Winters, Easton; several grand and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Toro.

Funeral services will be held privately at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home with interment in Milwaukee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC, 28607.
