Lawrence J. Mcandrew

Lawrence J. McAndrew passed away in Scranton on January 2nd.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Francis J. McAndrew, Sr. and Mary Sara Gursky McAndrew. He was a graduate of Carbondale High School and, prior to retirement, worked as a Store Manager at Fine Wine & Spirits.

Lawrence was a good cook and enjoyed baseball, football, and fishing. He also loved animals, especially his beautiful cats, Goldie, Summer, and Blondie.

Surviving are brothers Francis McAndrew, Jr., United Kingdom, and Wesley Hiller, Sr., Florida; sister Mildred Guzina, Florida; and longtime friend, Arlene Brack.

He was preceded in death by brothers James and Patrick; sister Nancy; and his precious dogs, Maggie and Marty.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 13th at 9:30 a.m at Our Lady of the Snows, 301 South State St, Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Township, PA 18411.
