Leola Steele

Leola Steele, 92, of Tunkhannock passed away on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 73 Years Herbert Steele. Born in Lemon Township on April 1, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Claude and Anna Titus Brown. She was a 1947 graduate of Tunkhannock School District and was a long-time employee of Taurus Service Inc., Mehoopany. Leola was a member of the Springville Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Randy Steele and wife Karen of New Cancann, CT; daughter, Sally Steele and husband Ray Biglin of Tunkhannock; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Steele; brothers, Theodore Kenneth Brown, Hiram Roland Brown, Armand Brown and C. Donald Brown; sister, Louise Brotzman. Family and friends are invited to attend Leola’s funeral service which will be held on Friday August 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.
