Leroy (John) Lawrence Dingee, of Fleetville, died on Thursday at Regional Hospital, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly J. Sariti Dingee, who died in 2004..

Born in Clarks Summit, he was the son of the late Roy and Sarah Tripp Dingee. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and the Air Force, serving two years in the Army and 18 years in the Air Force, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Prior to retirement, he was employed as a packer at Arlington Industries and an electrical worker at Tobyhanna Army Depot. Leroy was a member of the VFW Abington Memorial Post 1069.

Surviving are daughters Sarita L. Dingee, Fleetville, and Margaret A. Whitney, Kansas; brother Emmett Dingee; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert G. Dingee and a sister, Marion Hackman.

Friends and family may call on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit.

Funeral services will be private in Clarks Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VFW Abington Memorial Post 7069, 402 Winola Rd, Clarks Summit, PA  18411.
