Lewis C. Robinson, 86, of Mehoopany passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marilyn (Arrowood) Robinson.
Born on March 11, 1937 on his family farm in Jenningsville, he is the son of the late Lewis V. and Mary (Stevens) Robinson.
He was a 1956 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. It was during this time that he also met the love of his life, Marilyn. They were inseparable ever since and shared a beautiful journey together. They were married on November 9, 1957.
As a member of the last undefeated Tunkhannock High School football team, Lewis wore his team's victories with pride. His dedication to excellence and teamwork both on and off the field left an indelible mark on his community.
Lewis was known for his impressive career as a truck driver. He navigated the roads with skill and passion, earning him the nickname "tall rider."
It was his love for family that truly defined him. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and created countless memories that will live on forever in their hearts.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Lewis B. Robinson, Joel C. Robinson, Adam T. Robinson and wife Denise, Chandler (Chad) M. Robinson and wife Lorrie; brothers, John and Randy Robinson; sisters, Barbara Smith and Rosemary Bellows; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Allen, Arden, Ira Robinson; sisters, Bernice Goodwin and Laura Robinson; granddaughter, Erica Robinson Dymond.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
