Linda P. Fortuna

Linda P. Fortuna, 61, of Scranton died tragically after an incident at her apartment building on Tuesday evening.

Born in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Esther Vrotney Plunkett.  Linda received her Associates degree at Lackawanna Junior College.  Prior to her retirement, she worked at Boscov's in Scranton and, earlier, Moses Taylor Hospital.

She loved bus trips, lunch with her friends, and she was a member of the Waldorf Tiki Bar.

Surviving is her son Anthony Fortuna, S. Williamsport, as well as many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Fortuna; fiancé David Bagg; and her brother, Daniel Plunkett.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.  Friends may visit from 1pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be Monday at 10 am in the Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton. All are welcome to attend.
