Linda A. Gardner

With great sorrow, we announce that Linda A. Gardner, age 67, of South Abington Township, passed away November 21, 2024. Linda fought an eight year battle with cancer with grace and dignity and a determination to live the life she wanted.

Born in Scranton November 2, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Canterbury. She graduated from Abington Heights High School and from Keystone College with a four year degree in Human Resources. She was employed by Peoples Security Bank & Trust Co. for over forty years and retired as a Senior Vice President.

Surviving are her husband, Frank Gardner; her sons, Eric and his wife Regina of Danville, PA, Scott and his wife Julie of Rochester, NY, and Jason and his wife Marie of Pittston, PA; grandchildren of which she was very proud: Maureen, Heath, Felicity, Josephine, and especially Alexander.

We wish to thank Dr. Martin Hyzinski and his staff for giving her those extra years of her life, the nurses and staff on the 7th floor of Scranton Regional Hospital for their care and concerns, and finally the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassion.

With respect, there will be no viewing and the service will be for immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, South Abington Township, PA.
