Listen to Obituary

Linda Jane Gentilotti, 81, of Clarks Summit, died at her home on Saturday surrounded by her family. She is survived by Gerald J. Gentilotti, her husband of 59 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Edith Griffiths Conniff. She graduated as the valedictorian of her class from Scranton Tech in 1959. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, her broad circle of friends, and her late dog, Misty. Linda never met a dog she did not love or want to feed.

Linda's passion was spending time at any warm weather destination near water. Whether Satellite Beach, Stone Harbor or the Caribbean, she cherished each and every moment. Linda defined style. She was a meticulous dresser regardless of the occasion. Her art of gift wrapping was second to none, often making gift recipients feel guilty for destroying her artistic hard work.

Linda had a magnetic personality with a knack for lighting up any room. Her smile and sense of humor were infectious. She loved a good time, particularly any opportunity to gather with her core group of life long girlfriends, known collectively as "The Mermaids".

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Gerald and his wife Mara of Collegeville, and Jeffrey and his wife Sandy of Chadds Ford; cherished grandchildren Mark, Sarah, Katie, Anne, Sam, and Leah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Daniel and John Conniff and sister Elizabeth Woyshnar.

Linda's family expresses their sincere gratitude to her personal care providers Chrissy, Melissa, and Selena along with Dr. Michael Kondash.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29th at noon at Lawrence E.
