Lloyd E. Gustin (Rick), 73, of Auburn Township passed away on September 24, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann L. Bartels Gustin.
Born in Troy, Pennsylvania on November 9, 1947 he was the son of the late Paul and Blanche Huntington Gustin.
Lloyd was a 1967 graduate of Troy high school. He then served in the United States Army from June of 1967 to 1970. During that time, he served in the Vietnam Infantry from April of 1968 to 1969. Lastly, he served as military police in Fort Meade, Maryland from September of 1969 to June 1970 before coming home to be a full-time dairy farmer.
He was a member of the American Holstein Association and the PA Holstein Association, a life time member of the American Legion Elk Lake Post, Gardner-Warren Post 154 as well as the Montrose VFW.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kelly Bak and husband Chris; son, Robert Gustin and wife Kelly; grandchildren Madison, Jacob, and Jillian Gustin; sister, Neva Allen and husband Charles; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren Gustin and wife Barbara; sisters, Patricia Bassett and Linda Gary.
He was a loving father; his grandchildren were the light of his life. He enjoyed watching them in many of their activities including playing sports.
The family would like to extend great gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice for the care they have provided to Lloyd and their family during this time as well as his CNA Rachel Turner, and Nurses Bobbie, Tamara, and Linda.
Funeral services will be held privately with full military honors in Lynn Cemetery, Meshoppen.
