Lois Morgan Perry

Lois Morgan Perry, Glenburn Township, died Monday evening at Allied Hospice, Scranton. She was the widow of John (Jack) W. Perry, Jr. who died May 5, 2015. The couple had been married over 64 years.

Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willard T. and Janet Williams Morgan. She was an active member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church where she served as a Trustee and a Sunday School teacher. She also served 8 years as president of the United Methodist Women. She was employed as a Church Secretary and Church Treasurer. She enjoyed knitting and had made over 60 sweaters for World Vision Knit for Kids program.

Prior to retirement she was employed in the accounting department of S.J. Bailey & Sons for 21 years. She loved spending her summers at Handsome Lake where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was secretary of the Cottagers Association.

Surviving are two daughters, Jan Perry of Eagleville, PA; Linda Edmondson and husband James, South Abington Twp; a son, John W. Perry III and wife Joanne of Factoryville, PA; grandchildren Stacey Flaherty and husband Steven, Shawna Salerno, Justin Perry and husband Erik Larson, and Jaclyn A. Perry; great grandchildren Brianna and Samantha Searles, Cassidy Salerno, and Todd Flaherty.

The family wishes to express extreme appreciation to the staffs of Aventura at Creekside, GCMC, and Allied Services Hospice Center.

Interment will be private at the discretion of the family.

Memorials may be made to the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit.
