Louis Paduck

July 25, 1941 — November 14, 2023

Louis Paduck, 82, of Tunkhannock passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Janet Paduck who passed away on October 17, 2023.

Born on July 25, 1941 in Peckville, he is the son of the late Walter and Viola (Santarelli) Paduck.

He was a graduate of Archbald High School and he furthered his education at Johnson College.

Louis began his career at Acker Drill and later worked at Clarks Summit State Hospital as a cook supervisor until his retirement in 1995.

Louis loved being with his children, whether it was helping his sons work on their cars, fishing, and hunting with them. He would also help his daughters paint their homes or help them fix or put something together.

He was a great fisherman, earning him the nickname "the fish whisperer." His favorite spot for fishing was Oxbow Lake, where he would always catch his limit of trout for the day. He spent many years of his life at a special family property called Lake Como where he had many wonderful memories with his family. His skillful hands led him to tinker away hours in his garage, always ready to fix or create something new. Additionally, Louis had a passion for riding his motorcycle. He also loved to play pool, shoot darts, cornhole, and horseshoes.

Above all, Louis treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren, who referred to him as Poppy. He had a unique relationship with all of his grandchildren, always teaching him the things he loved. He had a great sense of humor and made everybody laugh.

His biggest legacy is his family. Louis and his wife, Janet raised six amazing children, teaching them everything about being a good human. He was always the one to say Grace at family meals and taught his younger brother how to pray. He did his best to instill Godly values, work ethic, and genuine humanity in his children and grandchildren. Through the years, he loved watching his children and grandchildren play all types of sports and was present whenever possible.

He is survived by sons, Louis Paduck and wife Kim, Gary Paduck and wife Lisa, Michael Paduck and wife Heather; daughters, Lori Day and husband Loren, Tammy Piccolotti, Christine Robinson and husband Doug; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Walter and Sammy Paduck; brother-in-law, Barry Call; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Chrzan.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by grandson, Noah Angelo Piccolotti; sisters, Joan Preston, Sofie Holeva, Linda Nataloni.
