Lynn G. Barrows

Lynn G. Barrows, South Abington Township, passed away Saturday evening, May 27th, 2023, at Allied Hospice, Scranton.

Born in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Delbert and Romayne Myers Barrows. He grew up in Gelatt, Pennsylvania, attended Harford High School, and worked at Acker Drill Company for 33 years.

Upon retirement, he did all kinds of woodworking. At Halloween, his yard was always decorated with Halloween characters he made. He built birdhouse trees, birdhouses and feeders, and many more beautiful items. He liked to feed and watch the birds, do find-a-word puzzles, watch Family Feud and game shows, and go to the family dinners and family reunions.

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Lillian Peck, to whom he would have been married 62 years on November 4th. Also surviving are a son, Roger Barrows and wife Marian; a daughter Yvonne Puckett and husband Kenneth; grandson Cody Puckett; brothers James Barrows, Merle Barrows and wife Sherry, Martin Barrows and wife Diane; sisters Hazel Howell and Patricia Wyckoff and husband Bill; brother-in-law Bob Gregory; brothers and sisters-in-law Tim and Shirley LaVare, David and Debbie Molyneaux; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including his favorite cousin, Ron White.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law L. Florence Peck; brother Thomas Barrows Sr.; sisters Berniece Butler, Dotha Sistrunk, Ethel Barrows, and Barbara Beyer; sisters-in-law Midge Barrows and Cindy Gregory; brothers-in-law Tim Shelp, Art Beyer, George Sistrunk, Bob Butler, and Fred Howell Sr.; seven nephews and four nieces.

There will be no viewing and a cremation has already taken place.
