Margaret N. Carl

Margaret N. Carl, 84, of South Abington Township, passed away on December 8 at Allied Hospice, Scranton. She was the widow of William A. Carl, who died in 2016. The couple had been married 56 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Susan Semulka Perlitis. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School and, prior to retirement, worked in data entry at ICS and in the food service department in the Abington School District. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.

Surviving are sons William B. Carl and wife Donna of Syracuse, NY and Dr. Glenn M. Carl and wife Melissa of Medford, MA; daughter Colleen Reiner and husband Scott of Clarks Summit; grandchildren Michael and Jennifer Carl, Morgan Bailleau and husband Corey, Brooke, Ashley, Bryce, and Brayden Reiner, and Madeline and Tessa Carl.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Frank Perlitis.

A memorial mass will be held on January 10, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Parish, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Clarks Summit.
