Margaret Peters, 86, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at home. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Guy Peters in 2015.
Born on March 2, 1939, in Beaumont, PA, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Cebrick) Rusinko.
Margaret graduated from Dallas High School in 1957. She went on to have a fulfilling career as a van driver for Forward Transportation, where she devoted over 20 years of her life.
She was also an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Church, where her faith was a guiding force in her life. Additionally, she served as a social member and treasurer for the Northmoreland Fire Company.
Margaret found joy in reading and crocheting, and above all, she cherished the moments spent with her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Joseph Peters and wife Gina, Ronald Peters, Christopher Peters; daughter, Patricia Peters; brother, John Rusinko; sisters, Helen Sidorek, Judy Paquin; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; twin great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by brothers, Nicholas and Joseph Rusinko; sisters, Irene Steele, Ann Marie Nevel, Mary Rusinko; grandsons, Bradley Peters and Timothy Felker.
As per Margaret's wishes there will be no funeral services. Interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret's memory to the Northmoreland Township Volunteer Fire Company, 1618 Demunds Rd., Dallas, PA 18612.
