Marian "Molly" Supanek, 69, a proud lifelong resident of Clarks Summit died on Thursday evening at Allied Hospice, Scranton.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Marie (Mulrooney) Fitzgerald. She was a 1972 graduate of Abington Heights High School and a 1987 Nursing School Graduate. Marian began her medical career as a neonatal nurse moving into the operating room for most of her time at Community Medical Center and before her retirement taking care of dementia and hospice patients, which was her true calling. She served as a volunteer at Abington Manor. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Clarks Summit.
Molly will be remembered as a passionate and caring person who loved spending time with her friends and family. Molly had a great ear and love for music and enjoyed sharing that with her family. She always knew how to enjoy her time and especially loved to make people laugh with her extremely quick wit. Molly had extreme faith and, even up to the end, knew she was safe in God's Hands.
