Mark A. Bunnell, died Saturday, September the 2nd at his home in Tunkhannock, PA.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of George Bunnell and Betty J. Kresge Bunnell.  He was a graduate of Lakeland Jr-Sr High School.  Mark worked in various trades including meat processing and several forms of the construction industry, including excavation and pool installation, until he was accidentally buried alive and received multiple broken bones and internal injuries. Work for him became painful, but he went on to work for Asplund tree service for several years. He eventually went out on disability, as his physical conditions worsened.

Mark enjoyed life and listened to 1980's music and occasionally sang along. He enjoyed having a good time and never missed a moment to celebrate. He was intelligent, loving, compassionate, sharing, and generous. He truly loved his family. He also dealt with internal demons of addiction and self-worth. He had a confusing and troubled childhood, and his life was filled with many tragedies of a personal nature. He dealt with them the best he could.

Surviving are two brothers, David and his wife Chris, Spokane WA, Jonathan, Clarks Summit, and several nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are his caregiver and best friend, Ashley Kinney, a sister in law, Suzi Bunnell, a sister in law, Cindy Bunnell, a brother in law, Donald Holman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Bunnell and Betty J. Kresge Bunnell, his sister Ellen Jane Holman, his brother George "Chip" Bunnell.

A memorial service for Mark will be scheduled at a later date.
