Mark Richard Kintner, 52, of Denver, CO, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Rose Medical Center in Denver.
Born in Tunkhannock, PA on October 17, 1972, Mark is the son of Richard Burke Kintner and Shryil Thompson; Ina Henning Hunter and Orville Hunter.
Mark served honorably in the US Army as an Armor Crewman belonging to the 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Casey, South Korea and 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Carson, CO. Mark took pride in his community, earning the affectionate title of the “Mayor of Albion” due to his dedicated service on his local neighborhood watch. Throughout the years, Mark also established several successful businesses in Colorado.
Admired for his lively sense of humor and reflective heart, Mark held a deep love for his family and loved ones and cultivated lifelong friendships. Mark relished adventures that took him to nearly every U.S. state, enjoyed fishing and immersing himself in nature, and exploring history. At home, Mark enjoyed listening to music, sharing laughs while watching comedy shows, and attending sporting events, particularly donning his Steelers gear at Broncos/Steelers games.
Left to honor his memory, in addition to his parents, are his sons, Benjamin Herman and Nathanial Burke Kintner; his beloved significant other Melissa Gonzales; sister Marissa Vavrek and husband Michael Vavrek; nieces and nephews, Liam, Elliana, and Nation; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Milford and Maryjane Kintner; A. Philip and Gladys Sherwood Henning.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, followed by full military honors at the Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Countryside Conservancy, PO Box 55, La Plume, PA 18440.
