Marlene E. Fuhr

Marlene E. Fuhr, 91, formerly of Tunkhannock passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Winterville, NC.

Born on April 13, 1934, in Mehoopany, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Collins) Burgess.

Marlene worked as a registered nurse throughout her career. She was also a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.

She enjoyed trail riding, where she cherished the calmness of nature, and swimming, which brought her joy and relaxation.

She is survived by her children, Frank Thomas, Colleen, Kathleen, and Theodore; sister, Ruth; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend Marlene's Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM from Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 99 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 to be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Albert and Deacon Ray Pieretti. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Stowell, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene's memory can be made to the Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen, 51 Warren St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
