Martha C. Jones

Martha C. Jones, 103, of Tunkhannock, formerly of Dalton, died Sunday at The Gardens of Tunkhannock.  She was the widow of William Jones who died in 1997.

Born in Demick, she was the daughter of the late William and Olive Carpenter.

In her earlier years, she was a self-employed housekeeper.

Surviving is a daughter, Jane Ashley, Massachusetts, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, George William; a daughter, Mary Weber; and a grandson.

Graveside services will be held privately at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit.
