Mary Ann Brozusky, 88, of Tunkhannock passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the Abington Manor, Clarks Summit. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Peter Brozusky in 2017.
Born on August 14, 1936 in Larksville, she is the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Malinowski) Magda.
She was a 1954 graduate of Larksville High School. Mary Ann embarked on a diverse career, ultimately spending 18 years as a receptionist at Carpenter Care Center, later known as Beverly Enterprises. Her warmth and welcoming demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Mary Ann was deeply passionate about her family and cherished the moments spent together. Her love for family extended beyond gatherings, as she found profound joy in being present for all of life's milestones.
In her retirement, Mary Ann and her husband volunteered their time at Nativity of the BVM Church, contributing significantly to their community by preparing beloved dishes such as pierogies, haluski, and clam chowder at the Wyoming County Fair.
She is survived by daughter, Christine Traver and husband Richard; sons, Peter Brozusky, Mark Brozusky and wife Linda, John Brozusky and wife Virginia; grandchildren, Michelle Teufert (Ryan), Anthony Brozusky (Erin), Austin Brozusky, Rachel Tunis (Dakota), Marijo Kellogg (Travis), Mark Brozusky, Jr., Charlene Garvie (Patrick Tugend), Amanda Kettel (Shawn), Daniel Hutchins; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by grandchildren, John Brozusky, Jr., Charles Garvie, JoAnna Hutchins; great-grandson, Jacob Specht.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mary Ann's Blessing Service which will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Deacon Ray Pieretti presiding. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
The family of Mary Ann would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Abington Manor and Allied Hospice for the compassionate care of their mother.
