Mary Alice Bee

June 25, 1924 - April 15, 2024

Mary Alice Bee stepped out of this world and into the arms of her Savior on Monday, April 15, 2024 with her loving daughter by her side. She was just two months shy of 100 years old and she was preceded in death by her three husbands - Charles Bee, Al Pelikan, and Paul Ingram.

Mary was the loving mother to her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Bee, and her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Matt Selvaggio. She was the beloved sister to David Sanson and Mildred Skwierc. Mary deeply loved and cared for her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary Alice was originally from Michigan, but lived most of her life in Northern New Jersey. She most recently resided in Dalton, Pennsylvania for the past 10 years with her daughter and son-in-law.

After getting married and raising her children, Mary Alice went back to school at age 46 and graduated with her LPN at the age of 47. She worked as an LPN for 15 years at Bergen Pines County Hospital with individuals struggling with their mental health. In her role as Mom, Mary Alice was strong, steady and committed to the best for her children. She always worked hard to make holidays special for her family. As a grandmother, she was extravagantly generous and full of encouragement and love. She was deeply committed to Jesus in faith and service, and passed on a legacy of faith to her children and grandchildren.

Mary Alice's life was far from easy, but her tough experiences didn't harden her heart. She had a heart full of compassion and generosity. She loved to laugh, enjoyed simple pleasures and was a joy to be around. She lived with gratitude for each day and for all the people who were a part of her life.

Mary Alice is deeply missed, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope. We look forward to the day we will be with her again.
