Mary C. Emans, 81, of Factoryville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Regional Hospital, Scranton from medical complications.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Richard A. Emans, with whom family, friends, travel, and living life to the fullest was shared. A demeanor of pure goodness, Mary radiated light and love everywhere she went.
Born in Baltimore, MD on May 16, 1940, Mary has been a resident of Factoryville for 45 years. She served in the healthcare industry in both Maryland and Pennsylvania for nearly twenty years. Her passion, however, was home and family, and days spent in the sun.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Elizabeth and Dr. Nicholas Dardes of South Carolina and children Nicholas, Nathan, and Natalie; son, Joseph Emans and children Austin, Lexa, and Cassidy of Iowa. Surviving as well is her brother Mark Cheverie of Baltimore.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Wednesday June 16 at 11:00 AM from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 99 E. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 to be celebrated by Reverend Patrick Albert. Interment will follow in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM on Wednesday at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
