Mary Jane Holgate

Mary Jane Holgate, 83, of Dalton, passed away on Friday at Abington Manor, South Abington Township. She was the wife of the late Boyd Holgate, who died in 2018.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Michael Zrowka and Mary Zelesky.  At an early age, she moved to Hop Bottom, Pennsylvania and graduated from Hop Bottom School class of 1958. After marriage, she resided in Dalton, PA for over sixty years. In addition to being a homemaker, she was involved with several family businesses and was a member of Our Lady of the Abingtons Church. Mary Jane loved gardening and interior decorating.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Holgate and his wife Jane, Nicholson, and Kevin Holgate, Hop Bottom; granddaughters, Heidi Tabaszewski and her husband Albert, CT and Holly Colvin and her husband Jim, Factoryville; great grandchildren, Luke, Maddy, Peyton, and Camden; and numerous nieces,  nephews , loving family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved dog "Zoe".

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. by Rev. Arbogaste Satoun at Our Lady of the Abingtons Church, 700 West Main Street, Dalton, PA 18414. Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
