Mary Galvin Magner

Mary Galvin Magner, 72, of South Abington Township died on Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Her husband is Kevin Magner.

Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Leone Galvin. Prior to retirement, she was the secretary at Clarks Summit United Methodist Church for fourteen years.

Mary was a wonderful woman, a devoted wife, and mother to two sons: Loren and Robert, and their spouses Cindy and Nicole. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Eric, Dorothy, Christian, Sean, Robbie, and Jason; sisters Madeline Galvin and Alana Galvin Gilkeson; brother-in-law Paul Gilkeson; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Brendon Galvin.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 pm at Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, with services by Rev. Adam Miller. Friends may pay their respects at the church from 12 pm until the time of the service.
