Matthew Vogel

Matthew George Vogel, Jr., 77, of Tunkhannock passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at home. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Carol Vogel in 2019.

Born on December 28, 1947, in Sellersville, PA, he is the son of the late Matthew and Emily (Vascik) Vogel.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Following his military service, Matthew embarked on a successful career as a truck driver.

He was particularly fond of rat rods and expressed his creativity through woodworking, often sharing this passion with his friend Glen Werkheiser.

Matthew was a valued member of the Black Walnut Legion Post 510, where he shared camaraderie and support with fellow veterans. He was also a member of St. Joachim's Church.

He is survived by daughters, Denise Delesky (Joe) and Debra Milbrodt; sister, June Ferrea; grandchildren, Frank Delesky, Mike Milbrodt, Kortnie Milbrodt; great grandsons, Tucker and Wade Delesky.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by brother, Thomas Vogel; son-in-law, Mike Milbrodt; granddaughter, Samantha Delesky.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM from the Black Walnut American Legion, 328 Old Rte 6 Rd., Laceyville, PA 18623.
