Michael G. Stumbers

Michael G. Stumbers, Clarks Summit, died on Thursday morning at this home. His wife of over 61 years is the former Joan Schmidt.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Stumbers. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Clarks Summit. Prior to retirement, he was employed at RCA/Thomson Electronics.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael W. Stumbers and his wife Viki of Bellefonte, PA; and a daughter, Jennifer Stumbers of Clarks Summit.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Bouselli and Irene Papura.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kristin Liptock, Dr. Kevin Olsen, and their staffs for their kind and compassionate care over the past several years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
