Mildred Riepe

Mildred J. Riepe, 85, of Tunkhannock passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at The Gardens at Tunkhannock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Riepe.

Born on November 18, 1938 in Lindenhurst, NY, she is the daughter of the late James and Evelyn (McPherson) Pike.

She was a 1956 graduate of Lindenhurst High School. On December 1st of the same year, she married the love of her life, Frederick J. Riepe. Their union was one of unwavering love and devotion.

Mildred's life was primarily devoted to her role as a homemaker and caring for her three daughters. Her dedication to nurturing her family created a warm and loving environment for everyone around her. She embraced the responsibilities of motherhood with grace and selflessness, ensuring that her daughters received the care and support they needed to thrive.

Mildred had an innate ability to make those around her feel special and cherished. Her genuine compassion touched the lives of countless individuals throughout the years. Mildred's warm smile illuminated every room she entered.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Markowitz, Karen Klein, Rita Dioguardi; grandchildren, Kymberly and Kyle Markowitz, Jennifer Franklin, Aaron Klein, Michael and Thomas Dioguardi; great grandchildren, Ariel and Colette Franklin; brother, Allan Pike.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by brothers, James Pike, Jr., David Pike; sisters, Evelyn (Pat) Pike, Gloria Kuehnel.

As per her wishes no funeral services will be held.
