Molly Iris Lane Coker, 13, of Tunkhannock passed away on May 25, 2021.
Born on December 18, 2007 she is the daughter of Rylan P. Coker and Rebecca J. Lane.
Molly loved her family, her friends, and the world around her. She immersed herself in learning, reading, history, music, animals and nature. Molly loved going to the vernal pools behind the pasture where she would perform rescue missions of the tadpoles as the pools would dry up. She loved fishing and loved smoked trout.
Molly would explore the woods and find hidden wonders nearly everywhere she went. She loved sledding in the winter, maple syruping in the spring, fireflies in the summer and jumping in leaf piles in the fall. Molly loved her little sister Ruby, her cousins, her cats Hope and Pudding. Molly was a friend to all and whoever, especially those who needed it, young or old. Molly enjoyed the worlds of Dr. Who, Harry Potter and Pokémon.
She was a fencer and loved practicing with her mom at Keystone College. Molly was a farm kid and country girl. She loved her honey bees. Molly was gentle, kind, feisty, fierce, and brave. She had a love for God, playing her ukulele and music. Molly was light years ahead of her time, a mature soul in such a young body. But most importantly Molly loved and is loved, fiercely, entirely and eternally.
From Dr. Who, Peter Capaldis farewell speech: “Never be cruel, never be cowardly. Remember hate is always foolish, and love is always wise. Always try to be nice, but never fail to be kind. Laugh hard, run fast, be kind.”
A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 4-7PM at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Funeral Services and burial will be held privately in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
We love you Molly, our “Impossible Girl.”
