Patricia (Diffley) Mc Auliffe, 86, of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2026.

Born on February 23rd ,1939 to John Patrick and Margaret (O'Connor) Diffley, her greatest joys were her surviving brother, Thomas Diffley; her three daughters, and their husbands: Theresa and Andrew Kinsey of Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania, Josephine Mc Auliffe and David Solinsky of Norfolk, Massachusetts, and Mary and Joseph Martowicz of South Abington Township, Pennsylvania; her seven grandchildren: Joshua Edlind, Ashley Edlind, Brent Edlind, Sarah Martowicz, Jacob Martowicz, Rachel Martowicz and Elizabeth Kinsey; and her many nieces and nephews, grand dogs and grand cats.   Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Diffley, and sister Catherine (Diffley) Wilhelm.

Patricia was a devoted Catholic, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to anyone she knew. She worked at many places such as Chase Morgan in NYC, Howard Johnsons, and various secretarial roles, but was especially known at Vassar College and the Montgomery County Library. She finally retired and moved from New York State to Gaithersburg, Maryland for 12 Years, and finally to Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Wherever Patricia lived, she quickly integrated with the Church and her community and made many enduring friendships.  Her outgoing and genuine nature was contagious and drew people to her in a way that was inspiring to witness.

Patricia loved to do crafts such as decoupage, quilting, and sewing, as well as playing cards, cooking, baking, sketching, entertaining and having people over. She always remembered her friends and family's birthdays, and anniversaries and sent cards and gifts. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 6th at 10 a.m. at the Church of Saint Gregory, 330 North Abington Road, Clarks Summit. Interment will follow the mass at Saint Catherine's of Siena Catholic Cemetery in Moscow, PA.
