Patrick Charles Lonieski, 88, of Waverly, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 10, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Patrick was born in Queens, New York, and later moved to Islip, New York where he grew up and graduated from Islip High School.

Patrick was the beloved husband of Patricia Lonieski, with whom he recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Together, they raised their family in Sayville, New York, creating a home rooted in love, commitment, and devotion to one another.

He was a loving father to Patrick Lonieski Jr. (Sheila) of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Maureen Reuther (Charles) of Clarks Green, Pennsylvania, and Kevin Lonieski (Keri) of Maplewood, New Jersey, and a proud grandfather to Meeghan, Patrick, Charles, and Kieran, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his dear sister, Catherine Vickaryous (Jim) of Naples, Florida, along with cherished nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Patrick dedicated 35 years of service as an electrician with IBEW Local 25, a career he took great pride in. He enjoyed working outdoors, spending time with his family, and especially driving his Mercedes convertible — a simple pleasure that brought him great happiness.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Elan Skilled Nursing Home in Scranton, as well as Hospice of the Sacred Heart, for their exceptional care and support.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Lawrence Young Funeral Home in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 14, at the Church of Saint Gregory, with a receiving line from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, Pennsylvania.
