Paul Ubaldini, 91, of Clarks Summit, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved family. His widow is Elizabeth "Bette" Ubaldini; they were married 72 years.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Kupiec Ubaldini. Prior to retirement Paul held leadership positions in the Transportation Industry, serving as Vice President and General Manager of Jupiter Transportation and President of USI Truck Transport.
A founding member of Glenmaura National Golf Course, Paul's passion for the game was matched only by his grace on and off the green. His golfing legacy was making a Hole in One and being one of the "Dew Boys" first out at 7 am every Saturday and Sunday morning since the Club was first open in 1992. Paul was a man of great heart. To know Paul was to love him. He embodied the true spirit of a gentleman: humble, selfless, kind, and unconditionally loving. His greatest joy came from time spent with family and friends going to movies, playing cards and time with his many pets.
Paul is lovingly remembered by his daughter Linda Manci and husband Joseph of Dalton; son Steven Ubaldini and wife Patricia, grandchildren Christopher Manci and wife Stacie, Michael Manci and wife Dina, Joseph Manci and wife Bianca, Jonathan Ubaldini and wife Nicole, Steven Ubaldini and wife Meaghan, great grandchildren Parker, Fiona, Margo, Nico, Lucy, Lucan and Minka Manci and Carter, Elle, Steven and Nora Ubaldini.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am from Cathedral of Saint Peter, 315 Wyoming Ave., Scranton. Attendees are kindly asked to proceed directly to the church. Entombment will immediately follow at Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, 18411.
The Family would like to thank the staff at Sacred Heart Hospice and the individual caregivers who provided the passionate care for Paul at home.
