Peter J. Erickson, 85, of Clarks Summit died on Saturday at Allied Skilled Nursing, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Marji Fiorani Erickson.

Born in Dunmore, he was a graduate of University of Scranton and, prior to retirement, worked as a Salesman at Dehart Incorporated and as an usher at The Arena. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish and the Penn State Club. Peter was WARM's Sports Fan of the Year and also hosted a Sunday night sports show. He was also the announcer for the boys' basketball team at University of Scranton.

Surviving are niece and nephew, Suzie and Armand Jr.; brother-in-law, Armand Fiorani and his wife Bonnie, Moscow; nephew Justin Summa and nieces, Bella, Ally and Abby; and numerous cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 South State Street, Clarks Summit. All those attending mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow at Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
